Vermelho - Attitude & Electric Kiwi

I have a couple more polishes out of Brazilian indie brand Vermelho / Marcia Lima to show you tonight.

Attitude - This has a mix of green, purple and fuchsia holographic glitters. No need for a base colour under this one as you can achieve opacity in two easy coats. Because it's all fine glitters it does dry a little rough. I did three layers of top coat, but the effect is so worth it in the end.

Electric Kiwi - a mix of a few different shades of holographic green glitters in a clear base.  Again this polish doesn't require a base colour because there are so many tiny glitters that provide full coverage.

The rich green base made me want to stamp something earthy and plant like, so I chose this vertial leaf design from the forest plate by Messy Mansion (MM19). I was pretty excited that I almost hand straight vertical lines!

I've really been impressed with these polishes from Vermelho. My first impression was that they are very simple glitter mixes, but I think that is what I love about them. I'm also a big fan of coloured holographic glitters and these polishes have loads of them. Although I find photographing holo glitters really difficult - so as always with holo glitter polishes, imagine these way more awesome in real life.

Vermelho polishes are available from Vermelho Accessories in Brazil (with no international shipping. But I got mine from Color4Nails, who stock a large range of commercial and indie brands and ship worldwide.

Polishes provided for review.

Vermelho - Pink Pop

I've got a new-to-me indie brand out of Brazil to show you tonight, and can I just say how awesome is it that indie brands really are popping up all around the world now with makers in North America, South America, Europe & Australia - it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

This sparkly little beauty is from brand Vermelho, created by Marcia Lima, which I received from online polish store - Color 4 Nails.  Color 4 Nails, based in the USA, stock a large range of both indie and commercial brands, and they ship worldwide with very competitive prices - especially if you buy a lot of bottles - so it might be work group together with your girlfriends to make an order.

Pink Pop - This is actually a very simple polish creation, containing lots of bright pink holographic glitter in a tinted bright pink jelly base.  I love the simplicity of this polish with just one glitter type in a jelly base, with glitter this gorgeous there is no need to add anything else.

It's densely packed with glitter and can almost be worn at one coat, but even though it's full of glitter the formula isn't thick and gloopy to apply.  It goes on smoothly and evenly and the holographic appearance under light or in the sun is truly stunning.  Because of the fine glitter, it does dry a little rough.  If you like the textured look you could definitely leave this on it's own.  I used three coats of top coat to get it glossy and smooth. Seche Vite, Glitter Tamer and Color Club top

I decided to add some stamping on top of the glitter and chose this centered rose design from Messy Mansion Plate #20.  This plate isn't actually released yet - whoops, but I was lucky enough to score one of the sample plates at our last Canberra polish girls meetup.  I just couldn't resist using the stamp because it went with the polish so perfectly.  I'm sure it will be released soon.

Vermelho Marcia Lima nail polishes are available from Color 4 Nails and I'm sure some other places in Brazil too (although I have no clue where!)  I have a couple more Vermelho polishes coming up soon too.
