Even if you're not a gold nail polish lover, please humor me... I'm not much of a gold lover myself, all of my jewelry is white gold and I can easily understand how many can find gold nail polish tacky.
But, I do have a few of those that I keep for such manicures as this one :
I wanted to experiment with different sizes of glitter in a milky base and I'm very happy with the result. The glitters aren"t all over the place and the sheer white base give a soft overall effect.
Please enlarge the pictures to truly appreciate the rainbow of shimmer.
I used :
1 coat of Essie Marshmallow
1 coat of Milani Jewel Fx Gold
1 coat of Chanel Illusion d'Or
1 coat of Essie Tennis Corset
no topcoat
I'm sure you're all familiar with Chanel Illusion d'Or, clear base packed with gold microglitter and color changing round glitter flecks but Essie Tennis Corset really deserves the spotlight too, it's one of my favorite sheer whites ever, it's Marshmallow on steroïds : multichome micro flackies, yellow, orange and green ; the same as those in Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (or its well known dupes : Gosh Rainbow, Nubar 2010, Nfu Oh 38) only smaller.
