More Merry Crowns : A England Iseult & Morgan le Fay and Camelot & Merlin

As promised, I have a few more A Enland shades for you girls today. These will be the last ones since I have now swatched all of the Mythicals and believe me I can't wait for Adina to release her new babies.

So here we go with :

Iseult : the fair lady
The legendary beautiful princess forever linked to Tristam after they mistakenly drank a love potion that left them eternally in love with each other in a powerful romance and tragedy.
Morgan le Fay : the enchantress
Half sister of Arthur, sorceresss and healer, she is one of the women who takes the injured Arthur in a barge to Avalon to be healed.
Camelot : the majestic court
The powerful symbol of Arthur universe, a romantic vision of towers, church spires, the imposing cathedral and splendid castle.
Merlin : the magician
Arthur's tutor, adviser, prophet, wizard; able to assume variety of forms creating life like illusions.

Iseult is a beautiful baby pink shimmer infused with silver shimmer. It's a rather blue based pastel pink but a bit warmer than my pictures show. The very fine and delicate shimmer adds a soft touch and although I don't often wear pastels, I would definitely wear Iseult as an office appropriate manicure. I used 3 thin coats below.

Morgan le Fay is indeed enchanting : a mix of green and pink shimmer flecks in a milky base, casting an overall off white shimmer look, deliciously sprakly! I really love subtle flecked shimmers and this one is sheer enough to be layered but buildable in 3 coats to a jelly-esque glimmer. I decided to layer Morgan le Fay over Iseult and OMG, I love the combo so much! It actually reminds of of the new soon-to-be-released Pedal Faster Suzi! (swatched here) but softer an definitely more wearable. Did I say I'm in love with this combo? Because I am!

Camelot is simply as black as a pure glossy black nail polish could be. I had heard people raving about it but was fully satisfied with Illamasqua Boosh so far so didn't really bother to pick it up. Mistake! Camelot is a much more affordable alternative and so easier to apply formula wise, I'm really glad I bought it. I only used one careful coat on the pics below and reached full opacity, it also dried very fast.

Merlin is a very dense silver glitter. Actually this one gave me a hard time, not because of coverage or application : it applied easily and evenly to a very sparkly and almost perfectly smooth surface... But it gave me a hard time because I couldn't exactly determine the shape of its glitters. After carefully examinating my macro pics, I think I can say that Merlin consists of tiny rectangle structured (non flat) glitters catching and reflectling light like little mirrors. This is one coat of Merlin over Camelot.

Needless to day again that I absolutely love A England, the spirit of the brand, the shades, the formulas, everything...

A England retails for £9 each on a-england.co.uk, free worldwide delivery, and currently offers a holiday promo with "Merry Crowns" : 2 shades for £13 (saving £5) until 6 January 2012.
