Guest Post : Jeanette from The-Swatchaholic.com literally sent me to nail polish heaven with her layering

Hi girls! Today, let me present to you no less than the Queen of swatching!
Jeanette from The-Swatchaholic.com has been one of the very first bloggers I followed and, when I started blogging, I was secretly hoping that one day I'd reach the very high standard she had set with the perfection of her pictures.

Hello everyone! My name is Jeanette and I am a Sam fangirl. :D
When Sam contacted me and asked if I would write a guest post for her I was a little shaking. Sam is one of my biggest nail crushes and writing a guest post for her fabulous blog is a true honor. She is one of my favorite nail bloggers and a true sweetheart. With every new post from her my heart melts a little. I just love her nails, her personality and her passion for nail polish.

I wanted to create a special manicure for Sam and I hope I succeeded. One of my favorite ways to play and experiment with nail polish are layerings. When I started blogging I often made layered manicures with layering two stampings but since a while I discovered my love for layered nail polishes. I hope soon I can experiment with layered stampings again though. :)

To create something special for Sam and to make baby steps back into konading I decided to do a combination of both: Layered nail polishes with Konad on top and also different textures.

For this look I started with two coats of one of my favorite blue nail polishes: OPI Swimsuit...Nailed IT. To add sparkles and more texture I layered one coat of the gold glitter side of the (sadly limited edition) Colour³ Essence Circus Circus nail polishes called My Sparkling Acrobat on top. To darken the look up a bit I added one coat of New York Summer Hot Purple - a sheer purple jelly.

Because I wanted to experiment more with different textures and finishes I mattified the manicure with one coat of Essie Matte About You. Lately I just love mattified glitter layerings. :)
As a special extra I wanted to add a shiny stamping on top. For the stripes I used the Konad image plate S6 and a dark indigo nail polish (with no name) with a subtle shimmer by Basic - a German drugstore brand.

I hope you all like this manicure and thank you so much Sam for the possibility to write a guest post for your fantastic blog. ♥

So, What did I say? Everything is perfect about these pictures : the mani, the swatching technique, everything! Jeanette thank you so much for sharing your creation with us, it's a pure nail polish work of art♥
