I received these tweezers from the lovely Maria in my package from the Cult Nails nail art competition back in February. Since then, I've found so many uses for them and they've become an invaluable addition to my nail art equipment posse! To be completely honest, the thing I probably use them for the most is removing anything that sticks to my wet polish that's not supposed to be there (i.e. my hair, stray cotton wool, dog hair) but occasionally I use them in reverse, the way MASH intended - to stick pretty stuff to my nails!
The great thing about these is they can pick up absolutely anything you could ever imagine using in your nail art. They even pick up bullion! Those tiny metal beads that are perfectly round and less than a millimetre in diameter. Impressive right?
These tweezers look pretty awesome as well. They're sleek as hell but still substantial enough to get a good grip on. When open, the gap between each pincer is 12mm wide. Do with that tidbit of information what you will, I just thought it would be handy to mention!
To give you a bit of perspective, here's a close up of the tip of the tweezers next to your standard bobby pin. You can see that the tweezers are very small and come to a complete point. Perfect for handling even the smallest nail art accessories.
The angled tip makes things much easier than normal, straight tweezers because you have a clear, unobstructed view of what you're doing. Perfect for someone like me who has to start over if a rhinestone is a mm out of place!
I recommend keeping hold of the small plastic tube that 'locks' the tweezers in the packaging because the ends are very sharp and it really hurts if you accidentally jab yourself with them. I learned the hard way when I was rummaging around in the pot where I keep them and snagged my finger!
The tweezers cost $4.99 and you can get them....
...from the Mash website here with free shipping (at time of publication).
