Kiko Lavish Oriental Limited Edition Collection

I don't often post Kiko nail polishes but truth is they have quite an amazing range and I love them so much that I own more than my own share ^_^

If you're unfamiliar with the brand, Kiko Cosmetics is an Italian based company that offers a large selection of colorful professional make up products. The things that I love the most about them is that they release new collections every couple of months, have very regular sales and carry no less than a hundred core nail colors!

So today I present to you their latest limited edition collection : Lavish Oriental, featuring holos!!!

399 Silk Taupe

Cool toned nude linear holo. Two coats, no topcoat.

400 Steel Grey

Charcoal grey linear holo. Two coats, no topcoat.

401 Peacock Green

Turquoise linear holo. Two coats, no topcoat

402 Jewel Pink

Raspberry pink holo. Two coats, no topcoat.

Formula was excellent in this collection. I applied them all directly over my regular basecoat (NailTek Foundation II) and didn't experience major dragging or patchiness. You still have to be cautious with application but it definitely wasn't nightmare like Gosh Holographic or Nfu Oh 60 holos, for example, which require an aqua base.

As for the wear, I've had Silk Taupe on my nails for 24h, topped with Color Club 0-60 speedy topcoat (doesn't dull holos), and it's still looking perfect, zero chips or tipwear. Considering that I've been rather hard on them, including washing dishes without gloves (which you should never do!), it's quite extraordinary for a linear holo if you ask me.

Overall :

I'm head over heels for this collection. Unfortunately I haven't been able to swatch them during the day but please believe me when I say these really come to life in the sun, if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you know what I mean ;-)

The linear holo isn't crazy strong in Peacock Green and Jewel Pink but the colors are beautiful. And Silk Taupe and Steel Grey are just perfection! Strong linear effect without being "in your face", wearable on all occasions...
