Trip to Holland, day 4 : Arnhem!

Day 4 is almost my last day in Holland. I really wanted to try and make the most of this day, nail polish wise, by having a big shopping spree with my friends, I'm really going to miss them when I get back home.
We spent the day in Arnhem, the city where they live and most of the time in the big open-air shopping center. They had a lot of places to shop polish there, drugstores like Kruidvat but also beauty stores such as Douglas and also small "perfumeries". I really wanted to have a closer look at the Koh and Herome products, especially the polishes, of course.

Here's a quick overview of the huge amount of nps we saw today; first in Germany, Essence and P2 and then in Arnhem.

Essence, again, including the limited edition, deliciously scented, hand balms

P2, both cosmetics and care

More Koh

Herome, World Inspired Colors line and W.I.C. loves Denmark LE

Teeez's small nail polish line

That was the end of our polish spree, we did take a break to have lunch in a small typically Dutch restaurant and had a "Kaas" sandwich. That's just bread and cheese but it was very good. The dessert was wonderful too, lemon curd and cream meringue cake, not too sweet, just perfect with a glass of cold milk.

Well that's it for these Holland posts, day 5 (Thursday) will be quality time with my friends and preparing for my trip back home. I really hope you enjoyed these posts as much as I did. I can't wait to begin swatching some of the wonders I got in Holland and share them with you girls!!!

Trip to Holland, day 3 : wholesellers!

After 2 nail polish marathon days, my friends and I decided to "take it easy" on day 3.

We went dusty hunting in Apeldoorn, in a small nail discounter where they had some China Glaze.
We didn't find any really old collections but they had the "new" Konad nail polish line, including some special effect topcoats. Unfortunately they weren't on display so I couldn't take any pictures.

Then we went to Hengelo Overijsel to another wholeseller / nail supplier called NailXL. They are the official Nfu Oh distributor in Holland and also carry... wait for it... Golden Rose holos, Scale Effects and Graffiti Nail arts... You know, those gorgeous flakies and crazy shimmer crackles, right? The ones Deniz from Emerald Sparkled posted (here) a couple of months ago...

Well, here's what the store looks like, I did go crazy with my camera there ;-)

Well, all that polish got us hungry so we went to a "famous" trendy restaurant in Arnhem, where my friends live, called So-Phi, we had a very nice dinner, the only downside being the wait there, terrible :'(
And in case you're wondering, this was just for one person, LOL... but they were smaller IRL than they look here.

Well, there went another wonderful time with my friends in Holland.
I really encourage you to check out NailXL online shop, the prices are very reasonable and the owner super nice. My friend had already bought from them and the customer service was amazing, super fast shipping, sturdy packing,... And they take Paypal and ship to the rest of Europe as well.
See you tomorrow for some more Dutch adventures!

Trip to Holland, day 2 : drugstores!

Hi girls! I hope you've all had a good time for Halloween.
Well, as you probably know by now, I'm in Holland and Halloween doesn't do much for Dutch people but nail polish does! Or is it just to my friends here? Either way, we had a wonderful time here and went crazy shopping drugstore brands such as Essence, Catrice, P2 and also Kiko.

First we went to Germany, CentrO Oberhausen, a big mall near the Netherlands border
We hit the Kiko store, the big display was too crowded for me to take a pic :-(
This is their new Frozen limited edition collection

then we went to the DM where we could find Essence and P2
They didn't have any Essence LEs
and P2 was being restocked so yay for more polish but nay for pics ;-)
.

We also drove a few more miles to Kalkar and more Essence.
They had some of the Urban Messages collection there

And finally, to the Muller in Goch and yet more Essence for a change lol
But they did have a big display, twice the size of the regular one

They also had some Catrice, very few new releases but I was happy to find lots of taupes and blues

Well, that's it for today, we came home happy but exhausted. My NOTD was OPI Ski Teal we Drop with matching heels (and skirt, which I just both love soooo much).
xoxo!

Trip to Holland, day 1 : Amsterdam!

I told you I would spam you with pictures of my trip in Holland, so here they are. I promise they're (almost) all nail polish related ;-)

Yesterday, for my first day in The Netherlands, we went to Amsterdam. If you're Dutch, these places will definitely look familiar to you but if you aren't, well I hope you'll enjoy them anyway.

First we went to the Make Up Store

Of course, they had the whole nail polish line, but I already had the holos so I didn't get anything

They had craaazy eyelashes though!

Then we went to H&M

They had mini sets that read "say no to racism", I did have to get those

We also hit up the Koh store in Dam Square, I just loooove Koh!

And finally we had dinner in a japanese restaurant I had never heard of before : Wagamama
I had teriyaki sauce fried noodles with grilled salmon, delicious

That's not exactly all we saw, we also went to Inglot, MAC and high end brands counters but unfortunately I couldn't take pictures of everything...
All in all, I was very reasonable today but we had a really good time, perfect for a first day.
