In the mood for some polish! ChG Velvet Bow

Hi Ya, Long time no mani! But today I mani-ed!!! Sorry for being AWOL!
but lotsa things going on. Missed u guys!

Base: ChG Velvet Bow
Sally Hansen: Strobe light
Revlon: Sunshine sparkle

The base is lovely dark creme polish. Smooth in 2 coats. Topped with SV.
I was going for a gradient effect with the glitter, but eh!!?
Accent is dotted with Revlon sunshine sparkle, not one of my favourites. Its tacky, streaky and takes ages to dry.

Well, here's hoping to catch you again soon!

Colourful Festive Mani: Lotus herbals:Plum Delight

Tis the festive season here in India! and I got festive manis!

First up is the Navratri (9 nights): where for 9 days people worship a deity and there is song and traditional garba dance in evenings. Also the Durga festival is widely celebrated around the same time for 6 days with a lot of fanfare.

Thats a ground where traditional garba dance happens. it draws huge crowds!!
People adorn traditional ULTRA colourful costumes for the dance.
I was in a colorful mood following the neon tiger print mani last week and hadnt had enough yet.

While my friend Nirah again recommended Plum delight from Lotus. Lovely polish! (thanks Ni!)
Smooth buttery application.. 2 coats opaque. Decent brush, No streaks! No bubbles! Dried in 5-8 mins.

Gorgeous smoky violet! *me thinks is a great dupe for Zoya Pinta.. see here
Lotus herbals Nail polishes are Acetone, DBP and Toluene free.
8ml bottle, costs Rs.110/-

Slathered some Inglot 204 blue-purple flakies on it. Turns it magical, doesnt it?

Stamped with XL C using Konad Pastel pink (yeah.. messed up on one finger)
But I had another plan for the mess.. to hide it :Dk

Added dots using a dotting tool with 3-4 polishes to make it bright

Ta-daaaa! M all set for GARBAAAA!!!

This is a bollywood song on the traditional garba dance..

Leopard Print Nail Art

There was a time when I used to not like animal print and now I keep stopping at every place I see one. I even got a couple of tops in leopard print :D
So naturally a leopard print mani was calling me

Base: Viviana's Outrageous Sky
Its a nice bright blue in creme finish, dried very quick unlike the Viviana's yellow.
Slightly streaky but goes completely opaque in 2 coats. I really loved this polish.
If you are looking for a bit o' splash of colour check this polish.

Added the light blue dots with a dotting tool using China Glaze's For Audrey
Then I added Black dots around it randomly using Colorama's Black.
For the accent finger I added pink dots and glitter on it using Sally Hansen's Strobe Light

Do you like animal prints?

Inglot 320: Green Dot-ticure

Whassup! I am pretty bored these days..need to plan a trip or do something exciting.
Do you wanna see any tutorials on my blog? Is there anything that you would like to see more?
I need some new ideas, or maybe I just need new polishes and plates :D

What do you do when almost everything bores u? :-/

Coming back to my mani for today.
I have a new polish. Its Inglot's 320. Its a  little sheer pearly kind of finish.
This is 2 coats and I still have VNL (visible nail line)

Its a nice shade, but somehow I am not drawn to it.

Base: Inglot 320
Stamping Polish: Konad Purple
Stamping Plate: BM 209
Dots: Lakme gold and Streetwear Fuschia Pink
Topped wit SV

Would you suggest any other combo with this kinda green?
I had a hard time coming up with this. and I didnt wanna do the obvious black.

Glitter Glitter on my Nails! Glitter Bomb!

Happy Friendship Day to you allllll!!!
I have got to know a lot of people due to blogging and I am glad to know such nice ppl!
I dont want to get into talking names, coz this post may never end :p
But you all know who you are!! And u've made my life more fun!!
(This incl all tweeps, email spammers, FB followers and comment writers!)
So here's wishing you all a very HAPPY Friendship Day!!!

On my blog today is my first glitter bomb! And a big one at that.
I've always stayed away from glitter due to the painful task of removing them and killing your cuticles in the process (yeah I mean the foil claw method). I am clearly not a fan of that. But after seeing this new frenzy around indie glitter polishes and the bea-u-tiful pics across blogs, I couldnt resist.
Now Indie polishes are real hard to get hold off, so I got around to buying "Cosmic" from Jordana.

Yes! It know it is A LOT of glitter. I wanted to see how it looks/feels etc.

Base: Sandy-Matt Blue polish
Glitter polish: Jordana Cosmic 2 coats

I brought Jordana cosmic from BeautyJoint.
One bottle of 6ml costs around $2.99

Cosmic is packed with micro blue hex glitter and large chunky silver, blue and green hex

After a couple of days I got bored with my flashy nails and tried to add some interest by adding dots of various colours. It ended up looking even more boring. I think.... U?

Psssst: I discovered a way to remove glitter polish without killing your cuticles. Will post that soon.
Wait for it. :D Bwahahahahah!!!!

Retro Polka Dot Nail Art

Yeelllloooo! I mean Hello again

Have you ever disliked something coz you have had too much of it?
As in completely put off by it or the sudden urge to run from someplace or thing?
yes? Me too.
From Polka! As a child I had polka in and on everything.
Yes so much so that I got sooo put off by polka design that I cant remember anything I own with Polka in the last 15 years :O
So yes this post is still a shock to me!! I got a set of QA-OB plates couple of weeks ago and it has this really pretty polka stamp on it. And I thot Y not? Lets try.

I used a light pink creme base and stamped a polka dot design on it in purple
Then between every alternate column I dotted with white.

This is what it turned out and I m pretty pleased about it.

OPI mod about you
Base: Faux OPI (similar to OPI Mod about you)
Stamping Plate: QA3
Stamping colour: Kleancolor Metallic Fuschia
White Dots: Colorbar Exclusive 37 (white), + dotting tool

nail art dotting tool

It turned out very picturesque..no kidding. Infact I got asked if those were fake nails. Hehe!
I am planning to try this using some other colour combinations. Any suggestions for another one?

Spring Morning

Hi You,

Morning is not my favourite part of the day :(
I am as someone would say "nocturnal".  I just cant Get-Up!!! However as part of a new routine I am trying to develop I attempt to get up when my alarm rings..and I can safely say it has lasted a whole 2 days. LOL!
Well I still have a vacation hangover from my trip and seem to be getting up a bit early these days I decided to attempt what I spring morning would look like. Hope you enjoy this as much.

Base: Inglot Nail Enamel 716
Stamping Colour: Konad White
Stamping Image: M36,  Big butterfly:A series XL plate

Surprisingly this Inglot polish is a matt. I did not pick it up as a matt, as I did not read on the package when I bought this.
But after swatching this I was in love with this. Its a nice subtle pink-brown (more pink less brown) with a  matt finish. It doesn't look powdery though it does reflect a bit more light then some matts I have seen.

Are you a morning person?
Please leave your comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one.

Gold coins

Today I wasnt in the mood for any eleborate design. I just wanted to do something subtle and simple.
I used OPI: You dont know Jacques and Lakme (local indian brand).

Base: OPI : You don't know Jacques
Dots: Lakme 040 metallics

I did dots from the biggest to smallest using all dotting tools I had.
I have a stamp for the a very similar design too, but wasnt in the mood for stamping.
So if you dont have a stamping plate you can do this jus well with dotting tools :)

Unknown dotting tools, lakme, OPI
